Jackson was one of three litter brothers who earned the
top rankings of # 1, 2 and 3 Springers in the country within the same year.
Jackson went on to become one of the most beloved dogs in the Springer breed.
He was a dog who embodied the breed standard: moderate, balanced, and with
beautiful spaniel type. He had devoted followers wherever he went and as a
veteran, he exemplified how a well constructed dog could wear his years
effortlessly. It was in his later years that Jackson not only had the
ability to captivate an entire room when he was in the show ring, but he would
also move them to tears.
Jackson's greatest contribution to the
breed has been as a stud dog. He is contained in most of the Ridgewyn pedigrees
today, adding depth, strength, and keeping in stride with the Ridgewyn
tradition. His enthusiasm for life was contagious - he had a love of life
until his last breath and radiated a joy that was impossible to not be swept
away by.
